Peter B. Teeley

The Honorable Peter B. Teeley is the Senior Vice President, Government Affairs, for Amgen, one of the world’s largest biotechnology companies. Mr. Teeley’s responsibilities include overseeing state and federal government relations as well as policy and reimbursement. Prior to joining Amgen in 1993, Mr. Teeley served as U.S. Ambassador to Canada and also held a variety of positions in the federal government including serving as Press Secretary and Assistant to Vice President George Bush and an Ambassador to the United Nations Children’s Fund. Mr. Teeley was also a Harvard Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government.

He is the founder and Chairman of the Children’s Charities Foundation in Washington D.C, a foundation that has donated millions of dollars for various non-profit organizations committed to improving the lives of children in the District of Columbia.

Mr. Teeley received his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in 1965.
